Improve your New Golf Swing the Easy Way

After the preparation if the golf backswing where the club is brought back and ready to release power you are ready to move on. The next move is the downswing.

In the downswing you will notice how helpful it is to have trained hands and developed upper arm leverage.

The lower part of the body is also in action. Every area from the foot up to the hip is in movement. You stopped from using lateral movement in the backswing, but it is important that lateral movement is involved in the downswing. It is actually of great importance to involve the lateral movement. However, this should only be made from the hips down. The upper body needs to stay out of the shift to prevent interference with the swing.

A triple combination will involve the lateral shift, the downward drive starting with the hands and left arm and the club going down behind the hands without allowing it to come in front.

This set up will allow you to have a professional move into the ball with club head acceleration through the hitting area.

This combination makes the movement into the ball and is extremely important. It is an essential move that you will have to work at to master. All three of those moves will help you perfect it.

Once you get it down you will feel the move and know it is right. You should have no problem repeating it once you have achieved this feel. It will help you to improve your new golf swing form here on out.

The build up of power in the hands and wrists is complete and held when you reach the hitting area.

Your elbow should stay passive. If it s proper position it will not disrupt the swing. Make sure it is set and keeping the left arm in control throughout the movement. The left arm should become dominant during the backswing.

This elbow and arm control will allow the shoulder to natural turn. You just have to keep them back and the turn must wait until they are in line at the impact. You must keep them back.

The hips should also shift right in line with the general movement of the rest of the body. The left hip moves out to allow room for the arms to come in.

Usually you will not need to watch the hips, but shorter players or older players may feel the need to watch their hips to ensure good movement.

The hips will have moved when the body turned in the backswing and now will come into the lateral movement. You have to be aware of the tendency for the right hip to move in the direction of the golf ball. Just keep in your mind the idea of how it traveled during the backswing and reverse that movement.

Last into the movement are the shoulders, hands and the club head. You will be set up where your hand are level with your right hip and they should travel without force. This triple combination allows for the hands to release power in the right direction, along the back of the ball.

The important thing about the swing is that you must practice in order to ever improve upon it and master this important swing.

Perhaps you are into golf not for the sole reason of playing golf with others, but for using the game as a negotiation tool. This is true for business people who have found that the green is a great place to talk about deals, exchange business cards and even form business ties. Just like cricket, golf is considered as a gentleman’s game. But, the two sports are different in that there aren’t any business dialogues taking place on the cricket field.

Aside from being a great negotiation tool, golf has also paved the way for friendships and a chance for individuals to assist others. In fact, a lot of golf competitions are held with benevolent intention. The money that is generated during golf competitions are oftentimes donated to charitable maintenance of the golf club.

The Ultimate New Golf Swing

June 19th, 2009 Golf Swing 0 Comment

As the year’s progress and you become a wiser golfer, there is a sense of when to start bringing down your swing. It’s just a way of telling yourself you’ve accumulated a good golf swing technique.

While it may sound a little confusing, it’s not. All it means is that you need to focus a little more on your hands when having the ultimate golf swing. You will notice the pressure that builds up into your arm and shoulder acknowledging the upper arm leverage. It’s kind of like a thermometer as it works its way to your fever rate.

The idea is to have your downswing run in a fluent motion with your golf backswing. One should work right into the other as you repeat the process in a reverse motion as you come back to the ball. What it comes down to is the unity between the two that offers a durable swing over and over again.

In order to get the most power out of your new golf swing, it doesn’t include swinging harder. Time and time again you’ll find golfers swinging for the fences in their downswing and coming up short. This is because you need to slow down the action and allow the club and hands to generate the power for you. So the next time you work on this, just remember to sense the pressure and release it as you’re coming down.

You have to understand the importance of the downswing. If you can get a handle on it you’ll be able to slow down the drive of the hands and bring them and your inner arm across the body. While this is crucial, it’s also important to learn how to properly shift your weight in the lower part of the body. Then of course you need to remember keep the shaft behind the hands.

The end result means more power in your hand when you hit the top of your backswing. Most importantly you can free up the hands a bit to allow them to work a little more freely. If you can do this you’ll have a club face that’s square and more power to drive through the ball.

When you get to this point you will notice the club head ends up in an eight o’ clock position. Granted, it will probably take some practice for you to reach this point, but when you do the result is always a positive one.

However, I would consider this one of the most difficult positions in your golf swing. I see pupils have problems with it all the time, which you will have to work a little harder to perfect. The good news is you can master this technique like many of the pros and drastically improve your golf scores. It’s all about constant accuracy with any club and keeping the same hitting line.

One of the best ways to look at it is by watching a mediocre golfer. Sure they may hit hard, but their accuracy is all over the place. Why? A lot of it has to do with hand control and timing that never forms a repetitive nature. When this happens you will see the club head winding up in different locations as it comes through the ball.

The best way to work on this is by using at least three balls and hitting them with the same club. Granted, it all depends on the ground and which way the balls bounce, but take a look at the landing areas. If they’re all over the place then you’re having problems.

Just remember, you can fix this with a little work. The goal is to give you enough hand room to set the club head in the appropriate position. If you can’t reach this pinnacle, then it’s important to find the appropriate help.

Okay, now that we’ve gone over how to shape your delivery, it’s time to start working on it. Just remember that getting your hands to hit that eight o’clock position is extremely important. The end result will allow more accuracy and power to go into the ball.

You just have to want to get the right golf swing technique for your golf short game. Do this and you’ll improve it dramatically.

Tailoring Your New Golf Swing with a Better Golf Grip

June 18th, 2009 Golf Swing 0 Comment

Have you ever thought about how important your hands are when it comes to your golf game? It’s an age old question that causes debates around the world everyday. I’m sure you have your own opinions, but so do I.

In my opinion you have to think about the difference in the golfers you teach. If you have a beginner in front of you who doesn’t have a solid golf grip, then you have to teach them a certain way. If you have a professional or someone who already owns a good grip, then maybe you shouldn’t focus on their grip as much as everything else.

Those top golfers out there develop a grip that works, and allows them to work properly. Unfortunately it just doesn’t work that way with beginners and you have to take a different approach.

A prime example is Eric Brown. He is one of the most esteemed teachers in the game of golf. I can’t begin to tell you about all the achievements he’s received over the years, and it makes you wonder how good he could of been if he schooled himself. However, it’s an unorthodox golf swing.

His golfing qualities are amazing, and the way he can move into a ball is uncanny. It starts with his right hand that is extremely underneath the shaft. This forms a V that brings it towards the V shape that comes for your other hand.

The point is he has a swing that really no one else uses. While this may be true, it’s the fact that he can accomplish what he does in a different way. What it comes down to is that everyone needs their own grips that suits them.

In order to shape the new golf swing, it all starts with the golf grip. If you find movement away from the shaft during your swing, the end result is going to be a bad one 9 times out of 10.

This is the reason it is so important that you fine tune your grip. Seriously, it has to be corrected before we can move on to the next step. Once you get this down then the other areas of the body can begin to take shape. Whether it’s the feet, legs, arms, or any other part of the body. They are all essential parts, but the hands guide them all into a sweet motion.

Unfortunately, if you don’t take this approach then the rest of the swing will fall apart. Just keep this mind.

When you teach a proper golf grip, the correct placement on the shaft is important. If you can master both of these areas then the hand-action won’t be an issue.

Let’s begin with the Vardon overlapping grip. It’s where the little finger moves around the forefinger of your left hand. When you interlock this area you will be able to bring unity to your golf grip. It’s the first grip I teach unless one of my students have small hands.

When this happens we move to a double handed grip.

If that doesn’t work I try to push the interlocking grip. It allows more control, but it’s probably one of the most uncomfortable grips out there. I would recommend you have someone supervise this grip.

These all can be beneficial to your game. Each one of them are unique in their own way, but they all have one thing in common. They make sure you make your hands work together. Just remember that golf is a two-handed game and your left hand should not fear the right.

In the end you can gain better technique with a good golf grip.

Learn about all of these when you’re ready to take the next step.

Important Hints About Golf GPS

June 17th, 2009 Golf Swing 0 Comment

There’s many methods by which a player could accessorize through buying different items that will increase the enjoyment of their golf games, including club carriers, golf caddies, or novelty things. Very few individuals consider the clothing items that can be used by golfers in order to obtain benefits (both related to health as well as the game). Here’s a few of the most favored clothing items used by players, and the reasons for which they’re so popular.

The initial objective of these clothing items would be to safeguard you from the risks of playing outside and the most oppressive hazard is the sun, but there are several ways you can fight it. The first and most effective way to keep your game going strong in spite of massive sunlight is to wear a set of sunglasses as you play. If the sun is in your eyes, it can have a harmful impact upon your perception, and might not allow you to strike the golf ball to your full potential but more importantly, sunglasses also defend the eyes from harmful UV Rays. Still your eyes aren’t the sole section of your body which requires defense from sun rays therefore whenever you head to your local golf course for the day, you must cover your face as well as the arms in sunblock pretty thoroughly to keep from being sunburned. It’s normally a decent thought to also put on some sort of cap for more face shading.

Golf shoes are used by numerous avid players and while they are definitely not required to play this sport, they offer some advantages. They’re made to render it simple to traverse the ground making up the golf course while keeping it’s grass in as great of condition as possible. Walking on the green wearing regular shoes may be rather destructing, however golf footwear make it so that the course grass could easily live through the constant use. Golf shoes are about as costly as regular shoes, but do  not have that much use outside of the course so if you are preparing to be golfing about once a week, golf footwear might be a good idea, otherwise you’ll be fine simply using regular footwear for now.

The remainder of a golfer’s outfit is basically up to the golfer himself, although, it is a decent idea to wear comfortable pants which you will feel OK walking for a couple of hours in. If you have an outfit that is too fancy, you’ll just end up getting a rash on your inner thigh so just look at the things that all the different players are wearing, and try to copy it. It’s best to go along with the trend, because the odds are that they know precisely what it is they are doing and they understand what the most comfortable variety of clothes are. It might take a trip to a shop to finish the wardrobe, but the comfort level would definitely be well worth the amount of time you put into it.

So long as there are no dress code at the golf course that you’re in, you shouldn’t fret excessively about what you are wearing because golf is intended to be a relaxing and entertaining sport, therefore any emphasis upon clothing should not be considered too seriously. Merely put on what you’re comfortable in, and wear that which features an advantage (such as defending you from the sun or protecting the grass which you tread upon). Naturally, distinct rules go for tournaments or outings with business partners. Utilize discretion to choose what you’ll wear, like you would on any other normal day or with another sporting pastime.

Aspire to be a deadeye dick and improve your golf swing

June 17th, 2009 Golf Swing 0 Comment

An important part of the process to improve your golf swing, consists of the correct preparation towards the golf ball. You ought to be able to strike the golf ball to where you want it to go. As part of a constant struggle to improve your golf swing, it is crucial to focus on aiming to strike the intended target when you set-up to the golf ball.

A weak aim can cause your golf swing to deteriorate. Improving your golf swing takes a lot of application. Producing certain drills to improve your aiming proficiency is sure to improve your golf swing. As part of your drill, put 2 clubs on the practice tee. The first golf club to be found parallel to your stance and the other placed at right angles to it. To ensure that you improve your golf swing you have to set up square to the golf ball. The parallel club will guarantee this preparation is done correctly and the club at right angles will identify the ball location.

The line-up of your body extends to the left of the target. Looking across your shoulder you will in reality focus to the left of the target. Noticing the target right in front of you when peeking over your shoulder means that your aim is to the right of the planned target area. Your golf club head is also pointing in that direction.

The right lining up of your golf swing means that your body and particularly your feet, knees and shoulders should be parallel to the path your shot is going to take. You ought to weigh it up against playing on a railway line. Lines drawn through the knees, feet, hips and shoulder ought to be parallel to the left hand side track and the golf ball to be placed on the right hand side towards the objective.

Even though it may well feel unnatural to address the golf ball in this way it plays a critical part in the development of the beginners golf swing. The golfer will have to judge the line without in fact being over the line of the intended shot, in addition to judging the line while being sideways to the target. Misalignment will ultimately lead to misdirection of the planned stroke.

A great golf tip to improve your golf swing and get the best of mistakes in alignment of the swing is to select a place a few inches in front of where you positioned the golf ball.  Focus on the selected spot instead of your planned target in the distance. The mark could be anything from a leaf to maybe a piece of branch. After selecting your aiming spot, take up your set up location by placing your feet and shoulders parallel to the imaginary line on the ground.

Focusing on the aiming spot rather than the intended target area throughout the whole golf swing seems to be popular with a great deal of golfers. Some players turn their attention on the aiming spot, but also like to then glance at their target area a few times before they start their golf swing. This may contribute to a golfer feeling misaligned and wrongly altering his position to one that feels more suitable, but that is clearly an incorrect position. Instead you should pick your aiming spot, complete your set up and hit the golf ball over your imaginary line. By following all the above tips you are sure to improve your golf swing.

Quick Golf Tips For You This Season

June 15th, 2009 Golf Grip Tips 0 Comment

The life of a golf club is very difficult if you stop to think about it. They are mercilessly tossed around in the back of golf carts, toted around with little thought to their well-being, then brutally used to smack balls around for a couple of hours. After a few years of this, they are thrown to the side and discarded for the newer models with better swinging power and all of the new features. If you get more power, you can enjoy more time in cheap Mayan hammock or Mexican hammocks while you remember your low scores!

With this much mistreatment of golf clubs, it only seems fit that you at least accessorize them a bit and help them live better lives. And while you’re at it, your noble deeds might just make things a little bit better for you and your golf game. Read on to find out about some of the things you can buy in order to treat your golf clubs better and prolong their life spans among many other things.

If you don’t already have a proper golf club bag, you should be embarrassed. This is the main thing (besides skill and clubs) that makes or breaks a golfer. If you have all of your clubs in one organized location that is easy to access whenever you need to, you can be sure to always have the correct golf club on hand when you need it.

A well organized bag can almost be more handy than a caddy, since you will be familiar with it and able to quickly access the clubs yourself. You can also find bags with other pockets that come in very handy for storing the rest of your golf accessories.

A proper cleaning kit will work wonders in prolonging the lives of your golf clubs. While you are out golfing, your clubs will get grass stains on them, they will get dirty from hitting the ground (you know it happens at least a few times per game), and probably get scuffed up from the occasional sand trap. If you have the proper cleaning supplies to get your golf club back as good as new whenever it gets dirtied. This could either be simply a rag and a cleansing solvent, or a miniature washing machine that is sold by some large golf accessory dealers.

If you aren’t feeling satisfied with the grips on your golf clubs, you can always replace them. Maybe they slipped out of your hands when you were swinging and knocked an elderly golfer into a lake, or maybe they just make your hands sore with prolonged use.

Either way, it’s possible to strip your golf clubs of their previous grips, and replace them with entirely new ones. You can find the new ones in almost any golf club store or on the internet where you can order very specific items. Better grips can improve a lot about your game, including the power of the stroke that you make.

While golf clubs are an important purchase, items to elongate the lives of your golf clubs are equally important. You have made an investment by buying your golf clubs, and you want to do the best you can to make sure that your money does not go to waste. Whether this is something to make your playing experience better or something to protect your clubs from the elements, it will certainly be worth the money.
